Week-End notes
Throughout the album, we journey through a lot of notes and beats experimentation. “Smokers Castle” has this miscellaneous, reggae vibe into it and “Swag Times” is full of sound crescendos.
Bop-N-Jazz
Flint is a release that will drive some critics nuts. Slapping an arbitrary genre tag on Flint simply doesn’t work as each of the compositions have a unique organic pulse that defies traditional critical analysis.
Soundfuse Magazine
You gotta love when something comes out of nowhere and blows you away. With little fanfare comes Bill Laurance‘s Flint, a masterpiece of mutated jazz that couldn’t fit into Snarky Puppy’s label/family GroundUP any better.
