And the correct answers (in case you missed one or two) are:
1. “Desire Lines” is the sixth track on Lush’s album “Split”. Released in 1994, the album reflects the band’s signature dream pop sound.
2. Bush’s charming little cameo in the scene was Winston, Gavin Rossdale’s dog. The video neatly combines different sights at Shepherd’s Bush and Portsmouth.
3. Dinosaur Jr.’s music clip sees the band amidst a winter wonderland. Snowy scenes pair surprisingly well with grunge guitars.
4. “Beautiful” by Marillion peaked at number 29 on the UK Singles Chart. Not quite chart-topping, but not quite forgettable either.
5. Dodgy’s track “In a Room (Full Version)” is part of the compilation “Ace A’s + Killer B’s”. Songs on this collection include some Dodgy classics.
6. The Manic Street Preachers found inspiration in the serene surroundings of Outside Studios. The album “Gold Against the Soul” was captured between January and March 1993.
7. “The Grave and the Constant” by Fun Lovin’ Criminals reached number 72 on the Scottish Singles Chart. Not the highest accolade, but it surely made a mark.
8. Therapy?’s 1994 single was released on red vinyl. An eye-catching choice guaranteed to stand out in any collection, no doubt.
9. Steve Earle took the stage on Late Night with David Letterman to perform his song. Quite the setting for a live rendition.
10. Karl Wallinger, the mastermind behind World Party, crafted the band’s sound with passion and precision. His work boosted their prominence in the ’90s.
11. The Beloved’s 1990 single achieved the 46th position on the UK Singles Chart. A middle-ground success, to be expected from a niche release.
12. Freak Power’s single echoing the spirit of the 90s got a fresh lease of life in 1995 thanks to a Levi’s ad. How commercial partnerships breathe new life into charming tunes.
