And the correct answers (in case you missed one or two) are:
1. “Mondo ’77” synchronized well with Xerox ads, enhancing Looper’s exposure. Other brands didn’t share the limelight.
2. “Take Me to the Mardi Gras” by Bob James is the choice flavor sample embedded in those beats, sparing Bob Seger’s tour tales.
3. Shaft’s affectionate remix of “Mambo Italiano” spiced up the Latin-inspired pop section of their repertoire.
4. Cindy Mertens serenaded us on Ian Van Dahl’s track from Ace. The Swiss entry was AnnaGrace on future projects.
5. H & Claire once toe-tapped with Steps before their smooth transition to duodom. Boyzone stayed firmly pop-past.
6. The title owes its silhouette to Death from Above, adding an international layer of intrigue to CSS’s track.
7. Peugeot dribbled the Bhangra beat into their 206 campaign, while Ford and Tesla watched quietly from the sidelines.
8. Not quite a body-shaker, but “Shake Ya Body” settled comfortably into the UK’s Top 40 with a respectable 37.
9. Dino Lenny borrowed “Flag Day” from The Housemartins without direct help, leaving Prodigy in their rave cave.
10. The Stargate duo propelled Stephen Gately’s 2001 piece forward, keeping other producers at a respectful distance.
11. “Exploration of Space” by Cosmic Gate navigated future soundscapes, revisiting the track in 2010 and 2016.
12. Originally Maggie Reilly weaved “Moonlight Shadow” beneath Oldfield’s tapestry, prior to Groove Coverage’s cover.
