And the correct answers (in case you missed one or two) are:
1. “Beat Again” by JLS sold 106,299 copies in its first week in 2009, earning it the second fastest-selling single title in the UK that year. The song topped the UK Singles Chart.
2. Glamma Kid’s track “Bills To Pay” was released in the year 2000. It exemplifies his characteristic blend of electronic and house music genres.
3. Chris Applebaum directed a video for the Pussycat Dolls that referenced the 1978 film *Grease*. This visual approach highlighted femininity.
4. “Take Your Time” by The Love Bite hit number 16 on the US dance chart. The track had moderate success in the UK and other regions.
5. “This is the World We Live In” by Alcazar borrows elements from Diana Ross’s “Upside Down” and Genesis’s “Land of Confusion”. It was part of their second album.
6. “Chain Reaction” was originally penned by the Gibb brothers: Barry, Maurice, and Robin. Their songwriting prowess led to global hits for artists including Diana Ross.
7. Javine’s song “Surrender (Your Love)” includes a sample from Diana Ross’s track “Surrender”. It became part of her debut album released in 2003.
8. Medina’s “You and I” is the English conversion of her Danish song “Kun for mig”. The track was a strong chart performer across Europe.
9. Paulina Rubio’s music video for “Don’t Say Goodbye” cost a whopping million. This extravagant budget set a new standard for Mexican artists’ videos.
10. Victoria Beckham’s debut single was originally recorded by Willa Ford. However, Ford’s version was never officially released, remaining a live performance piece.
11. The remix of “Let the Sun Shine” by Milk & Sugar soared to the top of the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart, thanks to its infectious Ibiza-inspired beats.
12. Kirsty Hawkshaw lent her vocals to Tiësto’s trance hit “Urban Train”. She contributed to both production and composition of the track.
