And the correct answers (in case you missed one or two) are:
1. Mark Knopfler wrote the Dire Straits track released from their album “On Every Street.” It was the band’s final studio album.
2. AC/DC’s song was part of “Last Action Hero.” Despite being known, it never made it into their live concert sets.
3. EMF’s cover of Neil Diamond’s song reached number 3 on the Official Singles Chart. It remained there for 11 weeks.
4. “The Flintstones” animated series inspired a 1994 song by The B.C. 52’s. It included an added verse not found in the TV version.
5. John Scarlett-Davis directed the music video for Aztec Camera’s “The Crying Scene.” The video featured the band performing the song.
6. Recordings from the Big Day Out festival were included with Hole’s 1999 single release. These were captured in Melbourne and Sydney.
7. “Give It All Away” by World Party reflects on identity. Karl Wallinger’s work achieved critical acclaim despite modest chart success.
8. “Thinking of You” is from Hanson’s debut album “Middle of Nowhere.” It also was the album’s final single release.
9. Jim Steinman composed the power ballad released by Meat Loaf. Its first appearance was on the 1977 album “Bat Out of Hell.”
10. “Suckerpunch” by The Wildhearts reached number 38 on the UK charts. A B-side, “29 x The Pain,” is noteworthy in their discography.
11. Northern Uproar’s 1996 single reached number 48 on the UK charts. It came from their debut album of the same name.
12. After “I Can Drive” underperformed, Shakespears Sister’s album was shelved. London Records decided against a full release at that time.
