1. The song “March of the Pigs” by Nine Inch Nails uses a 29/8 time signature for its verses, alternating three measures of 7/8 time with one 4/4 measure. The chorus shifts to a regular 4/4 time, showcasing the band’s experimental approach.
2. All About Eve’s single “Scarlet” peaked at number 34 on the UK Singles Chart. It was part of the band’s second studio album, “Scarlet and Other Stories”.
3. Cast filmed the music video for ‘Free Me’ in New York City. The video, produced by Oil Factory, was released on the same day as the single.
4. The Welsh equivalent of The Alarm’s track “Raw” is “Tân”. It appears on the Welsh-language version of the album with the same title.
5. “The Only Living Boy in New York” was originally released by Simon & Garfunkel. Everything But The Girl covered this track on their compilation album “Home Movies” in 1993.
6. The song “Something Worthwhile” by Gun features lead vocals from Dante Gizzi. He later became the frontman of El Presidente.
7. Sting’s “Seven Days” is noted for its quintuple meter, setting it apart from more straightforward pop rhythms. The track is part of his album *Ten Summoner’s Tales*.
8. In the Breeders’ “Safari” EP, Britt Walford is credited as Mike Hunt specifically for the track “Safari”, showcasing a playful use of pseudonyms in the credits.
9. “The Impression That I Get” by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones first appeared on the 1996 benefit album *Safe and Sound: A Benefit in Response to the Brookline Clinic Violence* before being released as a single.
10. “I’ll Manage Somehow” was the debut single released in 1995 by English indie rock band Menswear. It was included on their album *Nuisance*.
11. Julian Cope’s “East Easy Rider” video was inspired by a motorbike accident involving the loss of his brother, Pete De Freitas. Cope and Andy Eastwood made the video to honor this event.
12. “Caravan” is a single from Inspiral Carpets’ second studio album, *The Beast Inside*. Released in 1991, it reached number 30 on the UK Singles Chart.
