And the correct answers (in case you missed one or two) are:
1. “Make It Better” houses the Dubstar track featuring Sarah Blackwood, originally performed by her in 1998. The album was released by Food Records in the year 2000.
2. The remix “Nine2Five” by Lady Sovereign vs The Ordinary Boys was released as a CD single. It followed Lady Sovereign’s original track “9 to 5”.
3. The song “Real Girl” by Mutya Buena samples Lenny Kravitz’s “It Ain’t Over ’Til It’s Over”. The track brings 1991 nostalgia into its 2007 release.
4. The line “a girl with a radio heart” repeats in “Radio Heart” by The Futureheads, encapsulating its central motif.
5. Stereo MC’s “Deep Down and Dirty” greets listeners for 4 minutes and 23 seconds. It opens their album of the same name.
6. “Upside Down” by Jack Johnson spins as the opening track for the film “Curious George”. The song climbed multiple international charts in 2006.
7. Royworld’s “Dust” reached the soundscape of position 29 on the UK Singles Chart. It marked their first release through Virgin Records.
8. Gemma Hayes’ single breezed into the ether via MTV France. Its premiere outside Ireland occurred in late April 2002.
9. “10.000 Nights of Thunder” was the debut title for Alphabeat’s buoyant tune. Renaming it didn’t diminish its thunderous impact.
10. “Air Guitar” by Towers of London beat its strings on the album “Blood, Sweat and Towers”. Released in 2006, it holds a punk rock stance.
11. The Pigeon Detectives released their tune on 7-inch vinyl as part of “Wait for Me”. It swooped into the Top 20 of the UK Singles Chart.
12. “We Can Be Strong” by Willy Mason draws voices from Rosanne Cash and KT Tunstall. Their collaboration adds depth to his 2007 album.
