And the correct answers (in case you missed one or two) are:
1. Sophie Jones provided the vocals for the original demo of "Real Love." After the demos, Dee Heron took over for the subsequent releases that hit the UK charts.
2. The music video for U2's "Discothèque" prominently features a giant disco ball. This whimsical element cleverly ties in with the song’s title and dance themes.
3. "So Into You" reached number one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. Michael Watford’s song was well-received on the dance floors.
4. "Treat Me Like a Lady" by Five Star marked their shift to a mature sound in 1990. Written by Deniece Pearson, it attempted to echo the band's earlier success.
5. "You Got the Love" by Candi Staton was originally recorded for a documentary about a man trying to lose weight. The song found fame years later in a remixed form.
6. Ini Kamoze's "Here Comes the Hotstepper" was part of the 1994 film "Ready to Wear" (or "Prêt-à-Porter") soundtrack, bringing the song additional visibility.
7. Chris Bailey, of The Saints, contributes guest vocals on "Bring It On." This unexpected collaboration adds depth and an intriguing contrast to Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ track.
8. "Desecration Smile" was first performed live by the Red Hot Chili Peppers at the Bridge School Benefit in 2004, years before its official release as a single.
9. The Manic Street Preachers transformed "Umbrella" with distorted guitars. This cover version showcases the band's rock edge while maintaining the original's punch.
10. In "Sunburn," Muse's Matthew Bellamy sings of a departure from Earth. The lyrics metaphorically depict a spaceman heading towards the sun, seeking transcendence.
11. "Blooddrunk" by Children of Bodom delves into self-destructive behavior and addiction themes. Alexi Laiho drew from his personal experiences during its writing process.
12. The video for Rammstein's "Keine Lust" features the band in prosthetic fat suits, humorously portraying aged, out-of-shape musicians reuniting for a session.
