Every two weeks, we update our “Most Famous 2020s [music genre] from the Last 30 Days” series to reflect shifts in listener trends. These rankings combine data from our platform with external streaming metrics to highlight what’s resonating right now.

While not exhaustive, these charts capture notable changes—rising hits, enduring favorites, and exciting new entries—across 15 genres.

Bi-Weekly Music Chart Highlights: Top 20 Tracks Across 15 Genres Jan 27,2025 edition

Alt Z

Melanie Martinez‘s “Void” and Ashnikko‘s “Deal With It” featuring Kelis enter the chart, replacing “Melanie Martinez – Tunnel Vision” and “Ashe – Till Forever Falls Apart.” “Void,” released in 2023, explores themes of anxiety and self-reflection with minimalistic instrumentation and introspective lyrics. “Deal With It,” a 2021 release, reinterprets Kelis’s 1999 track into a bold anthem of independence, combining Ashnikko‘s sharp lyrical style with elements of feminist empowerment.

Tate McRae’s “Greedy” maintains its leading position, while tracks from Faouzia and Sub Urban remain prominent in the top five. Elley Duhé’s “Middle Of The Night” and The Chainsmokers’ “Takeaway” hold steady.

Melanie Martinez retains a strong presence with multiple songs charting, and Gracie Abrams continues to secure two spots in the rankings with “I Love You, I’m Sorry” and “Risk.”

Alternative Metal

There are no new entries in the Alternative Metal chart. The rankings remain stable, with Linkin Park securing four spots within the top five, led by “The Emptiness Machine” at number one. Falling In Reverse follows closely with several charting tracks, including “Watch The World Burn” and “Prequel.”

“Ronald” and “Prequel” have exchanged positions, reflecting ongoing engagement with Falling In Reverse’s recent releases. Motionless In White’s “Another Life” retains its position in the middle of the chart.

Slipknot, Papa Roach, and Skillet maintain their placements.

FKA Twigs’ “Eusexua” and Little Simz‘s “Gorilla” enter the chart, replacing “Sir – Nothing Even Matters” and “Sir – John Redcorn.” “Eusexua,” co-produced with Koreless and Eartheater, combines pulsing beats with ethereal vocals. “Gorilla,” produced by Inflo, incorporates jazz-infused hip-hop elements and lyrics reflecting perseverance and growth.

Sevdaliza‘s “Alibi” and “No Me Cansare” hold the top two spots, while Tinashe‘s “Nasty” retains its position in the top three. The collaborative track “We Pray” featuring Coldplay and Burna Boy remains in the upper half of the chart.

Mariah The Scientist continues to hold two places with “From A Woman” and “2 You.”

GloRilla’s “I Luv Her” featuring T-Pain, Gunna‘s “Him All Along,” and Yung Bleu’s “You’re Mines Still” enter the chart, replacing “Megan Thee Stallion – Mamushi,” “Juice Wrld – Wishing Well,” and “Jessie Murph & Jelly Roll – Wild Ones.” “I Luv Her” blends GloRilla’s assertive delivery with T-Pain’s vocal stylings. “Him All Along” reflects Gunna’s personal journey over a laid-back beat. “You’re Mines Still” addresses post-breakup emotions through melodic trap production.

Kendrick Lamar‘s “Not Like Us” holds the number one position, followed by Glorilla and Sexyy Red’s “Whatchu Kno About Me.” Travis Scott’s “Fe!N” remains within the top five.

Eminem’s “Houdini” and Pooh Shiesty‘s “Back In Blood” continue to chart consistently.

Billie Eilish‘s “Therefore I Am” enters the chart, replacing “Billie Eilish – What Was I Made For?” The track, released in 2020, combines electropop and hip-hop elements with a playful, rebellious tone, accompanied by visuals shot in an empty mall.

Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die With A Smile” maintains the top spot, while Billie Eilish’s “Birds Of A Feather” stays in second place. Charli XCX and Billie Eilish’s collaborative track “Guess” moves up in the rankings.

Lana Del Rey and Charli XCX hold multiple positions in the lower half of the chart.

Fujii Kaze‘s “Michi Teyu Ku [Overflowing]” and Mrs. Green Apple’s “Familie” enter the chart, replacing “NewJeans – Supernatural” and “Bini – Salamin Salamin.” “Michi Teyu Ku,” created for the 2024 film “April Come She Will,” combines poignant lyrics with visuals that reflect emotional healing and resilience. “Familie,” released in August 2024, serves as the theme song for Honda’s FREED commercial and was performed live during their stadium tour.

Rosé and Bruno Mars’ “Apt.” retains the top position, followed by Aespa’s “Whiplash” and Jennie’s “Mantra.” Lisa continues to hold two spots with “Rockstar” and “New Woman” featuring Rosalía.

Jimin and Jung Kook maintain their positions within the rankings, while Zico’s collaboration with Jennie, “Spot!,” holds steady.
