Slipknot sells catalog stake, promises louder legacy: “Hail The Knot” looms
Slipknot hands over a majority stake in its catalog, sealing a partnership that vows not just to preserve but to expand the band’s legacy. Michael “Clown” Crahan hints at ambitions that sprawl beyond maintenance, with a cryptic promise: “Get ready. Hail The Knot.”
The move suggests strategic maneuvering more than sentimental reflection, with the band aligning itself with backers eager to go bigger—and presumably louder—than before.

Slipknot's Debut Turns 25, Comes Back Loud—and on Blood-Filled Vinyl (Literally)
Slipknot mark a quarter-century of sonic violence with a 25th Anniversary reissue of their 1999 debut, arriving Sept. 5 via Roadrunner. The expanded edition stretches across six LPs and includes 59 tracks, 40 of them previously unreleased demos, alternate mixes, and live tapes torn straight from their turn-of-the-millennium chaos.
Among the curios: early versions of “Wait and Bleed,” raw Indigo Ranch cuts, and a 1999 live set in Hartford. A blood-filled vinyl variant—only 100 made—briefly appeared on their cryptic site before crashing it entirely.

Slipknot’s past earns $120M nod, future left out of the pit crew deal
Slipknot may soon have parts of its catalog changing hands for a reported $120 million, as HarbourView Equity Partners inches toward acquiring publishing and recorded income rights from some, but not all, members.
With Shawn Crahan as the last original member active in the band and Warner Music holding the masters, the potential deal curiously excludes future works, suggesting a calculated bet on nostalgia rather than creative momentum.
