1. Hot Hot Heat released “Elevator” in 2005. It was their first major-label album and included a stylized music video for its lead single.
2. “Attitude” by Alien Ant Farm features a distinct “Latin vibe.” The lyrics reflect personal relationship experiences of vocalist Dryden Mitchell.
3. “Think Twice” by Ralph Myerz and the Jack Herren Band includes elements from Donald Byrd’s 1974 song of the same name.
4. Mark Oliver Everett, known as E, wrote the Eels’ 2005 single. He has been the driving force behind the band’s alternative rock output.
5. The Charlatans’ single from 2000 included bonus tracks and remixes. This added content was part of two CD editions.
6. Less Than Jake released “Overrated [Everything Is]” on their 2006 EP. The Florida-based band is known for its ska-punk sound.
7. “Sister Surround” by The Soundtrack of Our Lives gained exposure in the U.S. via a video game and a TV show. It appeared in MVP Baseball 2003 and “Six Feet Under.”
8. Clinic’s “Come Into Our Room” was used in “The O.C.” and “CSI.” The song’s placement even reached related soundtrack albums.
9. “Up All Night” by Matt Willis reached number 7 on the UK Singles Chart in 2006. It was his debut solo single.
10. Sting’s track later became a duet with Mylène Farmer. Titled “Stolen Car,” it featured new French lyrics and appeared on both artists’ albums.
11. “Silent to the Dark II” is a shorter reworked version of “Silent to the Dark.” The original version spanned nine minutes.
12. My Vitriol supported Feeder and Ash after “Grounded” was released. Their tours included stops in Europe and Japan.
