And the correct answers (in case you missed one or two) are:
1. Nick Scott designed the cover artwork, adding to the single’s unique presentation. The British band released it with multiple formats, including B-sides, and it secured a spot on the UK Singles Chart.
2. Aled Phillips, lead vocalist of Kids In Glass Houses, took on lyrical duties. The song contributed to their early success and was produced by Romesh Dodangoda.
3. Boomkat’s debut single embraces the trip hop genre. It features vocalist Taryn Manning, whose contributions are paired with beats by Kellin Manning.
4. The lead single by The Fratellis was released through Island Records. It was initially performed live at a Glasgow venue, marking the start of its public exposure.
5. Candi Staton’s vocals were originally recorded for a diet documentary, a rather unconventional beginning for a track that later saw remixing success.
6. PJ Harvey’s “The Letter” uses present tense commands in its lyrics. The song’s structure aligns these directives in a manner that mirrors direct communication.
7. Mumm-Ra’s track made its way into the film “(500) Days of Summer.” Its involvement in various media projects coincides with its release in physical formats.
8. Staind’s single from “14 Shades of Grey” channels frustrations in the music industry. It was created during the latter stages of their studio efforts.
9. The song “Chicken” by The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster features in Nike’s campaign “My Time Is Now.” The ad appeared years after the band’s initial breakup.
10. Select editions of the single by Ash included bonus tracks, offering additional content beyond the standard release. The single charted both in the UK and Ireland.
11. Brand New’s single marked their first appearance on national charts. Their sound and presence widened through its release alongside a UK tour.
12. Cave In’s music video depicts a man continuing daily life with his feet in concrete. The intriguing visual complemented the track’s release as the album’s lead single.
