And the correct answers (in case you missed one or two) are:
1. “Mercy” is within the electronic and garage house genres. Its chart positions include #48 on the US dance chart.
2. Barry Manilow is credited for the composition and lyrics of “Copa” with DJ Hell, although it’s not a Copacabana Party Anthem.
3. Nomad’s track includes Ten City’s “Devotion” elements. It was slightly devotional in its chart-friendly way.
4. “Put Your Hands Up (In The Air)” by the Black & White Brothers stands out for its numerous remixes, not tied to a singular album.
5. A Eurodance single was parodied as “Fred Komm Ins Bett!” It tickled Germans with its Flintstone-ish humor.
6. Vanessa-Mae recorded “Classical Gas” at Abbey Road Studios among others; not a bad solo spot for her violin flair.
7. Sunscreem released “Exodus” in 1995. This put them on the map, albeit the lower UK Chart part.
8. “The Roof Is On Fire” by WestBam rolls with the techno crowd. A hot track, indeed.
9. U96 took the “Time After Time” chorus; Cyndi Lauper probably received some more royalties for that little nod.
10. “10×10” by 808 State samples The Jam’s “Start!”, merging electronic with iconic pop.
11. Solarstone sampled Miriam Stockley’s vocal in “Seven Cities”, making Balearic trance that bit more ethereal.
12. “Liquid Cool” salutes Alcor, the cryonics company. It’s a cooler tribute than it sounds.
