And the correct answers (in case you missed one or two) are:
1. Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti used the aliases Benito Benites and John “Virgo” Garrett III for their project Snap!. These names were pseudonyms for the German producers based in Frankfurt.
2. Deuce’s “I Need You” participated in the United Kingdom’s A Song for Europe contest in 1995. It managed to secure the third position in the event.
3. Deetah is a stage name derived from the nickname “Claudita,” highlighting the artist’s Chilean roots and early childhood experiences.
4. “Say… If You Feel Alright” by Crystal Waters was co-written with the renowned production duo Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Their collaboration brought a fresh sound to the track.
5. The music video for Deee-Lite’s “Good Beat” interestingly begins in an elevator. This choice aligns with the band’s creatively quirky style.
6. Sam Walker’s song “Just Can’t Get Enough” features on the soundtrack of the film “Winning London.” The Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen movie included the track in 2010.
7. Gina G’s debut single “Ooh Aah… Just a Little Bit” represented the United Kingdom in the 1996 Eurovision Song Contest, performed live in Oslo, showcasing the artist’s lively presence.
8. “Hold That Sucker Down” was released under the project name O.T. Quartet, a one-time collaboration featuring Rollo Armstrong and Rob Dougan.
9. The Course’s “Ready Or Not” interpolates Enya’s “Boadicea,” adding a haunting melody to its dance floor remake of the Fugees’ original hit.
10. Urban Cookie Collective’s “High on a Happy Vibe” charted on the UK Albums Chart. It reflects the optimistic mood embodied in British Eurodance of the era.
11. Mary Kiani’s rendition of “Let The Music Play” was remixed by Paul Oakenfold. His involvement added a distinct house music flair to the track.
12. Godley & Creme used a Fairlight CMI for their song “Cry.” This synthesizer played a crucial role in crafting the electronic music sound of the mid-’80s.
