And the correct answers (in case you missed one or two) are:
1. The initial UK release of “Give Give Give Me More More More” included a free cartoon biography. This was later removed in the 1988 re-issue.
2. “High Fidelity” by Elvis Costello was influenced by the Motown style. The song features a pun on stereo sound and interpersonal relationships.
3. Paul King’s “I Know” peaked at number 59 on the UK Singles Chart. It was included on his solo album *Joy*.
4. “War Party” first appeared on Eddy Grant’s album *Killer on the Rampage*. The song was re-released in 2024.
5. Graham Parker’s “Temporary Beauty” video features him amid ice sculptures. He amusingly torches and saws through them.
6. Paul McCartney was inspired by Spike Milligan’s phrase about black and white piano keys. This theme helped shape “Ebony and Ivory”.
7. Rock Goddess covered “I Didn’t Know I Loved You (‘Till I Saw You Rock ‘N’ Roll)” as a 7-inch promo single. Its title comes from a Gary Glitter song.
8. The B-side for “Sheila Take a Bow” by the Smiths was “Is It Really So Strange?”. Both tracks were part of Peel Sessions.
9. Paul Young provided the lead vocals on “Nobody Knows” by Mike + The Mechanics. The song was part of the *Living Years* album.
10. “She Comes From The Rain” by The Weather Prophets was first released as a BBC session track. It became part of an EP in 2021.
11. “From the Hip” was co-written by Blair Cowan alongside other band members. The track addresses helplessness against violence.
12. The music video for Cameo’s “She’s Strange” was directed by Dieter Trattmann. It was part of their tenth studio album.
