And the correct answers (in case you missed one or two) are:
1. The song by Gnash and Olivia O’Brien was nominated for Best Breakup Song at the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards. Perhaps breakups come with a consolation prize after all.
2. The cover art sculpture for Usher’s single was created by Daniel Arsham. Patience is a virtue Usher displayed while sitting still for hours during its creation.
3. Quincy Jones and James Ingram composed the original track on which John Gibbons’ reinterpretation is based. A contemporary twist on a classically rooted melody.
4. McLean released the official music video for “Finally In Love” in April 2010. Music videos: where albums meet their visual soul mates.
5. Steel Banglez released “Your Lovin'” as a single in 2018. A collaboration made in the year of many summer hits.
6. The 2018 single features both Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande. A team effort that graced charts and playlists alike.
7. After its release, the song by Fred V & Grafix charted on the UK Singles Chart among others. Their debut chart appearance was indeed quite a splash.
8. “Beautiful to Me” features a narrative about two friends over time. Life and music videos both celebrate friendship’s longevity.
9. Justin Bieber’s 2012 track with Big Sean was filmed in Los Angeles, California. Big cities for big collaborations.
10. Jeff Bhasker was involved in both the writing and production of Drake’s single. Truly a multitasking feat in the music world.
11. In the music video, Kelly Rowland takes on the role of the lead singer, performing with dancers. Unlike most dance parties, this one comes with a storyline.
12. Dennis Ferrer’s track was released as a single under Defected Records in 2010. Once deserving of shelf space, now filed in digital libraries worldwide.
