And the correct answers (in case you missed one or two) are:
1. The B-side of “This House” is “Come Back Home.” A different version of this song was also a B-side to her 1987 non-album single “Love Letters.”
2. “Nocturne” by Secret Garden features only 24 words in its lyrics, with the majority of the piece being an instrumental violin intermezzo.
3. Luther Vandross won the Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance in 1997 for “Your Secret Love.” It was also his last album with Epic Records.
4. Joe Cocker’s “Different Roads” first appeared on the UK charts at position 99 in October 1999. Despite its lower entry, the song addresses themes of enduring affection.
5. The British boy band Damage released “Love II Love” in 1997 as their second single from the debut album “Forever.” It enhances their discography of the late 90s.
6. “Special Kind of Love” was created by American producers Clivillés and Cole. Dina Carroll was the first British artist to collaborate with them, marking a transatlantic link.
7. Faith Evans’ “You Used to Love Me” was intended for the R&B group Total. However, Evans performed it herself, contributing to her debut album’s narrative voice.
8. Harry Connick Jr.’s “(I Could Only) Whisper Your Name” appeared on the soundtrack for the film “The Mask.” The album “She” achieved Platinum status, emphasizing funk and jazz elements.
9. Nick Heyward released “He Doesn’t Love You Like I Do” in 1993. The track featured a shift from synth-pop to guitar-driven melodies.
10. “Without Love” aimed to revive Dina Carroll’s UK music prominence in 1999, achieving number 13 on the singles chart before its intended album was shelved.
11. Harry Connick Jr.’s album “She” is categorized under jazz and funk, offering a unique musical landscape in contrast to his previous works.
12. “Love Rendezvous” by M People was the least commercially successful single from “Bizarre Fruit II,” peaking at number 32 on the UK Singles Chart in 1995.
