And the correct answers (in case you missed one or two) are:
1. The original working title of “Hey Ya!” was "Thank God For Mom And Dad". André 3000 tinkered with the concept over several years as part of his half of the Outkast duo project.
2. T-Pain featured as Teddy Verseti on “Church”. It was a bit of self-collaborative humor with his own alter ego making a guest appearance.
3. Kelly Rowland’s single samples “Let’s Get Small” by Trouble Funk. Rich Harrison was responsible for the song’s production.
4. Diana Ross’s “Upside Down” was credited due to its interpolation in Will Smith's “Freakin' It”. The hit vibe from 1980 found its way into the millennium.
5. Nivea’s track with Jagged Edge bagged a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. Quite the category for duets.
6. Tinchy Stryder's "Catch 22" includes the track with N-Dubz. A peak of collaborative UK talent on his second studio effort.
7. Debelah Morgan's lead single blends Latin R&B and tango. The track creatively fused these genres for a catchy rhythm.
8. The string hook in Sisqó’s hit originated from Wes Montgomery's cover of "Eleanor Rigby". It added a touch of classic jazz feel to modern pop.
9. Jay-Z penned the lyrics for Dr. Dre’s song featuring Snoop Dogg. A quick turnaround as lyrical craftsmanship goes.
10. Keri Hilson and Timbaland turned things futuristic in the “Return the Favor” video. Synth-heavy tracks demand a sci-fi visual counterpart.
11. Vocals for Beyoncé and Shakira’s collaboration were recorded in diverse settings, including La Marimonda and The Hit Factory. A truly global production endeavor.
12. Twista’s track with Faith Evans featured in "Coach Carter". A good match for a film filled with inspirational themes.
