Wikipedia: Originally titled “Hey Jules”, the ballad was written by Paul McCartney—and credited to Lennon/McCartney—to comfort John Lennon’s son Julian during his parents’ divorce.
I Am The Beatles : John Lennon added a four-letter word hidden deep in the song around the three-minute mark, and the intro was spoken by John and Paul. In a jestful manner, John spoke of the “black country” and Paul answered with his mention of “Boston place,”
Jamaicans : Holt’s career began to take shape in 1964, when he joined the group the Paragons. The song ‘The Tide Is High’ which was a huge hit for Blondie in the 1970’s and was actually a cover of the 1960’s hit from the Paragons.
The Surfaris : Wipe Out, Surfer Joe and others captured the sound of the early 1960’s. Initially catapulted by the California surf culture, The Surfaris transcended the local scene into international stardom.
Music in Russia : Baba Yaga is fronted by Irish musician Jamie Winchester and includes Tibor Bornai and the Russian folk singers Karagod, who also sound to be the same as those on ‘Russian Memories’ by Ermitage.
Memory-Of.com : By 1963, they begin to sing together under the names of Caesar and Cleo. They marry in 1964. They release two Caesar and Cleo singles under the Reprise label — “Baby Don’t Go” and “Love is Strange”. In 1965 they begin to use their own names–Sonny and Cher.
Discogs : The 1980 Floor Show was recorded on the 18th, 19th and 20th August 1973, and was broadcast on the 16th November 1973 (US only). It was recorded at The Marquee Club, 90 Wardour Street, Soho, London. “I Got You Babe” is performed by Marianne Faithfull in a nun’s habit and David Bowie in a feather boa.
Stereophile : Otis Blackwell is best known as the songwriter who helped put Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis on the musical map with “Don’t Be Cruel” and “Great Balls of Fire”…”Fever,” made immortal by torch singer Peggy Lee, was composed by Blackwell (under the pen name John Davenport) in collaboration with Eddie Cooley.
