Peter Wolf skips the career brag to dish Dylan, Julia Child, and an EMI fluke
Peter Wolf, frontman of the J. Geils Band, recounts in Billboard’s Behind the Setlist podcast how his memoir Waiting on the Moon centers less on his career and more on the eclectic cast he stumbled upon—Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, Muddy Waters, and even Julia Child.
From Harlem’s Apollo Theater to late-night hangs with The Rolling Stones, Wolf’s stories unfold as accidents of fate, including his EMI signing after being rejected by every major label, only to bump into an admirer at the Palm in L.A.
