James Frontman Calls Out Tommy Robinson for Hijacking 'Sit Down' at Rally
Tim Booth of the band James criticizes far-right figure Tommy Robinson for using the 1989 song “Sit Down” at a “Unite the Kingdom” rally without permission. Booth calls the act “cynical” and declares the song the “antithesis” of Robinson’s ideology.
The rally, joined by controversial figures including Katie Hopkins and Laurence Fox, saw arrests and clashes. Booth states the band is examining legal response options for the unauthorized use of their music.
