Faithless trades pulse for poignancy on “Forever Free,” weaving the late Maxi Jazz’s final vocal into a brooding parting shot that lingers longer than expected.
Faithless present “Forever Free,” an ethereal single featuring Maxi Jazz’s final recorded vocal before his 2022 passing—his voice emerging through a haze of synth distortion and choral hums. The track opens the quartet-structured album “Champion Sound,” whose full release is slated for September.
Alongside this piece, three other titles trickle out: “Fugitive,” “In Your Own Groove” with LSK, and “Peace & Noise” with Suli Breaks. Upcoming segments promise cameos from Bebe Rexha and Anthony Szmierek.
