Paul Anka eyes TikTok teens mouthing his hits—and preps a jukebox comeback

Paul Anka, at 84, watches teenagers lip-sync to "Put Your Head on My Shoulder" on TikTok with what can only be described as amused disbelief. His catalog—Sinatra’s “My Way,” the divisive “(You’re) Having My Baby”—unexpectedly resurfaces in gender reveals and reels, earning him a new audience and a streaming-era revival chronicled in HBO’s Paul Anka: His Way.

The documentary sidesteps melodramatic angst and instead zeroes in on Anka’s songwriting—a discipline he proselytized to the Beatles, apparently before they wrote a note. Still productive, he’s prepping a jukebox musical, a 2026 album, and a February release recorded with the Budapest Scoring Orchestra.
