Duran Duran and Nile Rodgers Rekindle Disco Magic with "Free to Love" Release
Duran Duran shifts from Halloween's shadows to disco's shimmer with "Free to Love." This new single, out April 23, is a collaboration with Nile Rodgers.
A gleaming disco ball teases the track, featuring a thick synth bass line and heavily manipulated vocals. The partnership with Rodgers has roots in 1984, when his touch turned "The Reflex" into a global hit.
The enduring musical relationship includes hits like "Wild Boys" and extends across several albums. Both Duran Duran and Rodgers have busy touring schedules, with shows spanning North America and Europe.
Duran Duran hits pause mid-set to mourn Renee Good, shot by ICE in Minnesota
At Sacramento’s Thunder Valley Casino, Duran Duran pauses its Jan. 9 set to dedicate “Ordinary World” to Renee Good, shot during an ICE operation in Minnesota just days earlier. Simon Le Bon gently reminds the audience that freedom and peace should not be luxuries.
The somber tribute echoes national outrage as footage shows Good attempting to drive away before officer Jonathan Ross fires. DHS insists it was self-defense; Minneapolis protests say otherwise.
