Nick Cave teases live album with brooding Paris set—Dylan allegedly approves

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds announce their forthcoming live album "Wild God" by teasing a performance video from Paris, featuring the title track. The song unfolds under cavernous lighting, with Cave prowling the stage in a tailored black suit, channeling preacher, prophet, and theatre noir all in one breath.

The performance gains an additional layer of cultural currency thanks to the presence of Bob Dylan in the audience—purportedly a fan of what he witnessed. The record is slated for release on August 30.

Nick Cave scores grief and lust as Matt Smith sells tragedy in Bunny Munro series

Nick Cave and longtime collaborator Warren Ellis take on scoring duties for the screen adaptation of The Death of Bunny Munro, a series spun out of Cave’s own 2009 novel. The project marches forward with Matt Smith both producing and starring as the titular traveling salesman navigating grief and a spiraling libido.

The TV series is expected for release this year, merging Cave’s narrative voice with the atmospheric swells characteristic of his musical partnership with Ellis.

Nick Cave Meets AI Elvis as “Tupelo” Turns 40—Sort Of Comes in Peace

Revisiting the 1985 Bad Seeds track “Tupelo” on its 40th anniversary, director Andrew Dominik offers a new visual twist, coaxing Nick Cave into tolerating AI—just slightly. Once dismissing it as a grotesque parody of humanity, Cave now lends his image to a video starring an AI-generated Elvis Presley.

The monochrome clip unfolds like a surreal Southern fever dream, casting the King as a spectral messiah amid storm-lashed chaos, while Cave’s brooding presence haunts the margins in vintage footage.

Nick Cave nopes out of Morrissey’s anti-woke rant with bouzouki shade

Nick Cave passes on Morrissey's invitation to read what he calls a “silly anti-woke screed,” balking at its tone and intention.

He describes the text as “unnecessarily provocative” and refuses to voice it over a meandering Greek bouzouki intro he dismisses as “lengthy and entirely irrelevant.”
