Shirley Manson revisits Angelfish days, covers 'Adored'—for Gaza, not glory
Shirley Manson resurfaces with her pre-Garbage outfit, Angelfish, on January 30 in Edinburgh for a rare reunion show after a decade-long pause. Set in the Liquid Room, the benefit gig funnels all proceeds toward humanitarian aid for Palestinian children.
The band performs original tracks like ‘Trash It’ and ‘Mummy Can’t Drive’ while detouring through covers including The Stone Roses’ ‘I Wanna Be Adored.’ The short-lived resurrection continues with another show the following night, held under the same cause-driven spotlight.

Garbage calls curtain on U.S. tour, blames industry theft and van-life burnout
Interpolating fatigue with economic frustration, Shirley Manson declares Garbage’s current U.S. headline tour their final bow, citing “the thievery of the record industry” as the culprit behind increasingly untenable touring costs. Onstage in Washington, DC, she pulls back the velvet curtain, outlining a bleak reality where young acts slum in vans or shady motels, risking safety for exposure.
Raising a toast to the crowd, Manson thanks their fans for ignoring industry obituaries, while noting the band is unlikely to return to many cities. The tour’s title—‘Happy Endings’—lands with puckish irony.
