Steve Aoki faces a class-action lawsuit accusing him of promoting MetaZoo NFTs and trading cards without disclosing financial ties on Instagram. The DJ became a part-owner in 2021 and launched a collector’s card set tied to his album HiROQUEST: Genesis.

The lawsuit claims buyers were misled by undeclared endorsements, leading them to purchase overvalued digital assets that are now worthless. Co-defendant Matt Kalish and Aoki allegedly contributed to inflated sales ahead of MetaZoo’s 2024 bankruptcy.
