Pink Floyd’s ‘Dark Side’ Stays on Billboard 200—996 Weeks and Counting
Pink Floyd’s 1973 release The Dark Side of the Moon inches toward a staggering 1,000 nonconsecutive weeks on the Billboard 200, charting for the 996th time as of Jan. 10 and slipping from No. 114 to No. 167.
Having first landed on the chart in March 1973, the album held an almost uninterrupted presence until October 1988, then returned in 2009 when catalog album rules changed. Only Bob Marley’s Legend and Journey’s Greatest Hits come close, at 920 and 890 weeks respectively.

Amazon Slaps a Price Tag on 60 Years of Pink Floyd—Flying Pig Included
Marking Pink Floyd’s six-decade anniversary, Amazon’s official store now offers a measured parade of band-themed merchandise—t-shirts, hoodies, totes, and phone cases—all readily available for delivery, breezing in under Prime’s two-day shipping model.
Tied neatly with reissues of “Wish You Were Here” and “Live at Pompeii,” this merch drop positions nostalgia as a commodity, balancing commemorative impulse with capitalist rhythm, one silk-screened flying pig at a time.

Pink Floyd gives 'Wish You Were Here' a surround-sound facelift and rare bootleg
Pink Floyd unveils a forthcoming ‘Wish You Were Here’ 50 box set, reconfiguring its hallmark 1975 album in a new Dolby Atmos mix curated for the spatially inclined listener. The set doesn’t lean solely on nostalgia—it drags out nine studio rarities from the vault, fending off the usual temptation to remix the past without consequence.
It also includes a full recording of their 1975 performance at the Los Angeles Sports Arena, taped with illicit precision by infamously meticulous bootlegger Mike “The Mic” Millard.
