Returning to Tokyo’s Budokan on October 1, 2025, CHEAP TRICK reanimates a liaison first forged in 1978, when cassette tapes hissed and flared with live recordings from the same venue. An eight-and-a-half-minute short film surfaces as an ode to this long-standing intercontinental affinity.

Set in a place where echoes of screaming teens once met polyester suits and feathered hair, the film captures the band’s exchange with a Japanese audience still unmistakably loyal, intimately nostalgic, and just slightly weathered by decades of devotion.
