Flaming Lips and Modest Mouse summon Ozzy with fuzzed-out “War Pigs” cover

Midway through their Atlanta set, the Flaming Lips and Modest Mouse deliver a left-turn homage by covering Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs.” With Wayne Coyne on vocals and Modest Mouse’s Isaac Brock joining forces, the rendition leans theatrical, filtered through fuzz and irony.

Amid haze and multicolored lights, the performance nods to Ozzy Osbourne, whose spectral presence haunts the track’s lingering doom. It's less metal revival, more psych-tinged séance.
