Bright Eyes bring existential folk-rock gloom to Singapore’s Capitol stage

Bright Eyes stage their Singapore debut on 27 November at the Capitol Theatre, pairing Conor Oberst’s lyrical brooding with the ornate ambiance of one of the city’s oldest venues. It’s their first appearance on local soil after decades marked by existential folk-rock and sonic diversions.

Formed in the mid-‘90s, the trio—Oberst, Mogis, and Walcott—paused after 2011’s "The People’s Key" before resurfacing in 2020, reminding loyalists of their flair for melancholy wrapped in orchestral nuance.
