Midler dubs Hocus Pocus 3 draft “brilliant,” but broomsticks may stall
In a recent late-night appearance, Bette Midler confesses she’s received the draft for Hocus Pocus 3—and calls much of it “brilliant.” The Disney franchise, which first bewitched audiences in 1993 and resurrected itself in a sequel three decades later, seems poised for a third act with its original trio intact: Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy.
Midler notes that while creative sparks are flying, logistical realities like cost and location still haunt the project’s future. Still, she seems far more hopeful than her 2023 quip urging Disney to act “while we’re still breathing.”
