Flying Lotus Juggles Skepticism, Horror Flicks, and Love-Hate 'Ye Album Debate
Flying Lotus reminisces about defying skeptics who doubted hip-hop could thrive via laptop wizardry and finds creative fuel in such skepticism. In the lead-up to his Australian expedition, he admits to a fondness for 'Chucky' and critiques what he perceives as Kanye West's most overrated album.
He gravitates back to 'Blade Runner' for its stunning amalgamation of music, visuals, and narrative. Its prolonged sounds and omnipresent reverb foster restful sleep while enveloping him like a comforting blanket, stoking his creative fires.
