Questlove takes Peabody Trailblazer prize, credits silence over spectacle
Questlove receives the 2025 Peabody Trailblazer Award at a Los Angeles ceremony hosted at The Sun Rose Hotel, with Quinta Brunson—another Philly native—handling the handoff. The award honors storytellers whose creative output shifts culture and holds a mirror to social dynamics.
In his speech, Questlove frames joy as defiance, inviting artists to embrace instinct over doubt. Known for weaving history and rhythm, he credits five minutes of daily gratitude and silence as his creative engine.
