Tom Jones teams up with Nile Rodgers—turns out groove does age pretty well
Sir Tom Jones joins forces with Nile Rodgers for a summer performance promising more than just nostalgia. Known for shaping distinct eras with unmistakably rhythmic guitar work and a résumé littered with Grammy Awards, Rodgers brings a catalog that plays hopscotch across genres and decades.
Tom Jones, whose voice refuses to retire with age, complements Rodgers' groove with his own enduring stage presence. Together, the duo curates a night more in celebration of resilience than reinvention.
Nile Rodgers clocks in at Glastonbury, brings the jukebox and dehydration
Nile Rodgers and Chic turn up at Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage like clockwork, perfectly timed for the audience’s Sunday evening descent into sunburn, dehydration, and mild despair.
Reliable and unchanging, the setlist still hangs on the riches of Rodgers’ back catalogue—“Everybody Dance,” “I’m Coming Out,” “Upside Down”—offered like a jukebox stuck in a perfectly nostalgic groove.
