Lucy Dacus Adds “Wedding Officiant” to Tour Duties, Marriage License Required
Lucy Dacus, currently touring North America behind her fourth album “Forever Is A Feeling,” begins officiating weddings onstage. Prompted by online enthusiasm, she confirms she’s legally officiated in the U.S., though not every city will accommodate the ceremonies.
Couples are instructed to bring their marriage license to the venue box office and receive it back post-show. Dacus offers the service free of charge, hinting wryly at the bureaucratic and financial roadblocks some may face securing marital rights.
