Clapton Dodges Vinyl, But Madrid Encore Goes AWOL in Fans' Record Toss Fiasco
Eric Clapton's concert in Madrid takes an unexpected turn when the legendary musician is struck by a vinyl record thrown from the audience, just as he wraps up his performance of "Cocaine."
Fans miss the anticipated encore, as Clapton, visibly displeased, opts out of returning to the stage. Though no harm is intended by the well-intended fan, the mishap marks another in a series of recent concert disruptions where artists like Harry Styles and Bebe Rexha face similar object-throwing incidents.
Eric Clapton books royal lawn slot at Sandringham—just the one, mind you
Eric Clapton schedules a single UK appearance for August 23, 2026, at the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk—touted as the opener of a four-day summer concert series. The guitarist brings a familiar mix of staples like “Layla” and “Wonderful Tonight,” alongside selections from his latest release, 'Meanwhile.'
Sharing the stage with long-time collaborators including Nathan East and Doyle Bramhall II, Clapton steps into a lineup previously occupied by Pet Shop Boys and Mariah Carey. Ticket sales begin December 5, with pre-sale opening two days prior.
